While typing a previous blog, I used the word "gnashing". At the time, I spelled it "nashing" and though I knew it was wrong, I just couldn't figure out why. I played around with "knashing" because I knew there was some silent letter in front, and K is the front runner of beginning silent letters.
Today it spontaneously occurred to me that the letter I was looking for was G -- "gnashing".
Stuff like that used to bother me until I was crazy. Now I've learned to let it go and save the teeth gnashing for more serious matters.
